Here:
'The media is supporting Kerry because he has so much dirt under his carpet...'
Al's outfits or Bush's dereliction of service?
Who drives the polls?
Why did FOX Not broadcast the last 15 minutes of the Debate?
Clark: GOP Agenda at Play in Debate

(#185) |
I think that some of you know that CBS will not air the MoveOn.Org commercial for the Super Bowl. More censorship because of too much media control of special interest groups.
The media is supporting Kerry because he has so much dirt under his carpet that Rove will have a grand time digging it out if he is the nominee.
The media controls the polls. I can't see why you guys keep looking at
them. They are skewed (maybe deliberately). At any
rate unless there are equal numbers of Independents and
Democrats polled, you are just getting meaningless
numbers.
________________________________________________
I'll just bet that none of you were aware of the General's attack on
Peter Jennings last night. When Jennings threw that speech
in England slam at the General ... Clark gave the standard
response, . . . " If you look further down in the speech .
. ." but he added, "I'm sure you have it
there" when he knew that Jennings not only didn't have it
but probably hadn't ever read the whole speech. Jennings
dropped it after that.
Also the Michael Moore remark
attack on Clark....I'll bet that you didn't even notice that
after the General said that he wouldn't discourage Moore's right
to say what he feels, the General twice said, "I had heard
rumors" --- That just reinforced Moore's remark about
Bush's being AWOL.
Just thought I look in. Chins up.
It's wayyy better than you think. Remember the General said he'd be
satisfied with third. He's gonna take it with a first. I'll bet
money on it. You're forgetting the numbers of Clarkies that are going to
be in New Hampshire until after the primary.

Bob Somerby has been very critical of the media on this matter, for
the media seemed more concerned in 2000 with Al's outfits than Bush's dereliction of service.

Question to All:
How do we know that
the polls are not driven by Republicans. When the pollster
contacts a voter, how do they know if it TRULY is a Republican,
Independant , or Dem. If they ask the voter what party they
represent, they could lie (repub) and say they are a DEMOCRAT.
Thus the polls really could be misleading. Secondly, push polls
can also make the difference. We know the ARG are specific, but
the others, controlled by media and news org. have to be push
polls. Especailly since the tv news media, is so biased.
They really think the viewers are so gullable, they will believe
everything they say. However, very, very, few people are the
news hounds we are. Probably, most Repub are but,
indendants and Dems. that I know, watch other programming and
not the news 24 seven. The nightly national news, and local.
Thats about it. 8 out of 10 mature voters is watching their
evening favorites. Hate when the Pres comes on and
disrupts their program. I am in the tv business, so hear what
the people tell me. It is constant and please don't
interupt their soap oprah....it is unbelievable.

Have any of you guys figured out why FOX did not show the last 15 minutes of the debate?
I was expecting to hear closing statements, and then FOX cut to this ridiculous little exchange between their talking pinheads about how Clark was badly damaged by the Michael Moore question.
I was waiting for one of the journalists in the debate to ask about the economy so that the Democrats could speak about the employment and wages crisis in America. That came, but it came at the very end when FOX was no longer broadcasting the debate.
It was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen.
Below is the final 15 minutes in the transcript provided by the Washington Post. Notice how Hume was sugar-coating the economy, and how Kerry used the question to talk about reality.
The General is too well-trained intellectually to take advantage of these debates.
You can't answer the journalists' questions. You only have 60 seconds. You have to use a hook in their question to spend 60 seconds making the points you want to make.
Save the clarity and the candidness for the town halls for the people.
The corporate media does not deserve the same level of respect as the American people.
They clearly have an agenda -- and that's why more and more people are tuning them out, and going to the Internet to get the truth.

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) _ Presidential candidate
Wesley Clark on Friday complained that one of the moderators
in Thursday night's debate was carrying out a Republican
agenda by questioning his Democratic
credentials.
Brit Hume of Fox News Channel, who
worked as both moderator and questioner during the two-hour
debate with the seven candidates, pressed Clark about when he
had first realized he was a Democrat.
Clark told
reporters Friday, ``I looked at who was asking the questions,
and I think that was part of the Republican agenda in the
debate.''
Democrats have complained that Fox
News Channel shows a Republican bias.
